Isabell Werth wins the Grand Prix about the Preis der Firma Stihl
(mps) Yesterday, she already won the Grand Prix for the freestyle tour on Warum nicht FRH. On Saturday, the European champion from La Mandria and Satchmo, her 13-year old Hanoverian gelding and EC horse, underlined their title ambitions for the KAMPMANN GERMAN MASTER, which will be carried out on Sunday, by winning the Preis der Firma Stihl, the Grand Prix for the Special tour.
Even if the 38-year old woman from Rheinberg could not tie up to her usual top results with the 75.833 per cent in her second start at the 23rd international STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS show, she still dominated the world class starter field. Thus, the quadruple Olympic winner, six times world and twelve times European champion, who received 2.500 Euro prize-money for her success in the Preis der Firma Stihl, relegated Nadine Capellmann from Aachen and the Swede Tinne Wilhelmson-Silfven, being the 14th of the world ranking list, to the places. Capellmann, the double world champion from 2002 and member of the La Mandria silver team, also saddled up her top horse, the 11-year old Elvis VA and received 74.208 per cent. Tinne Wilhelmson-Silfven, who rode Solos Carex, achieved 73.083 per cent for her performance.
