“Rasender Heiner” wins the Preis der Firma DIW Instandhaltung
(mps) Once again in the class about the Preis der Firma DIW Instandhaltung GmbH & Co. KG on Friday evening, he prove that his nickname “Rasender Heiner” (Rushing Heiner) is correct: On Aboyeur W, the 13-year old Westfalian gelding, the 48-year old Heinrich Hermann Engemann won the second qualifier for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER in a clear round in 57.67 seconds and, thus, was allowed to fight for one of the most renowned show-jumping title in Germany on late Friday evening.
The man from Bissendorf was more than one second faster than Beat Mändli, the World Cup winner and second placed, who finished the course with Ideo du Thot, his top horse, after 58.75 seconds. In front of 5.800 spectators in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, Marco Kutscher (Riesenbeck), the double European champion from 2005, became third on Nabab’s Son. After his clear round, the clock stopped at 61.30 seconds, which also guaranteed him the participation in the MASTER. The qualification ranking for the starter field of 12 riders, which includes the Preis der Firma DIW Instandhaltung as well as the Stuttgarter Hofbräu Against the clock class, was headed by the Swiss Mändli, followed by Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst (Mühlen) and Albert Zoer (Netherlands).
