Nice performance on “Catwalk” - Christian Ahlmann wins the MercedesCard Jump & Drive for the third time

(mps) Without doubt, he has not planned a model career – however, Christian Ahlmann (Marl) performed extremely well on (the) Catwalk at the 23. international STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS show on Wednesday evening. With the ten-year old gelding from Holstein, the 32-year old mastered the first half of the MercedesCard Jump & Drive without any penalty points and then maneuvered the Mercedes-Benz A 180 DT faultlessly and in the best time through the 11 gates of the second half of the course.

With a total time of 94.34 seconds, the double European champion from 2003 clearly outpaced his competitors and won this class, which is very popular amongst the Stuttgart spectators due to its excitement, action and dramatic, for the third time after 2004 and 2005. The deserved remuneration for this brilliant “catwalk performance”: The fourth of the world ranking list can take the Mercedes-Benz A 180 DT home, which is worth nearly 24.000 Euro (net value).

Daniel Deusser, who surprisingly had come second in the World Cup final 2007, ended up on the second position in this special horse power spectacle. Although the 26-year old, who lives in Valkenswaard and rode Vonka A, the nine-year old mare, had one fault and three penalty seconds at the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz (total time of 100,46 seconds), he was still more than two seconds faster than Alexander Schill (Ichenheim), the third-placed. He rode Ladermie in the first part of the course and achieved a total time of 102.58 seconds.
